Other Server
This method is for when your Internet Service Provider (ISP) provides you online storage that you can post your photos to, or when you see an image on another website you want to share on the OGR Forum.
If you are using your ISP for posting your photos, please get with them to see how it is done and what the address to your photos will be. You will also have to use some sort of photo editing software to resize your images.
Due to the many different ways to do this I cannot begin to tell you every way to resize your images or what your camera can do. Some suggestions I can offer are; check out software that came with your camera, or see if your photo hosting service offers a resize option. For Windows users Microsoft offers Image Resizer. for Macintosh systems I suggest iPhoto which comes with many new Macs. Also you can look at programs such as Paintshop Pro, Picassa and Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to manipulate and resize your photos.
You should be cautious when linking to pictures from another persons website. Some people consider this Hijacking/stealing their photos and get quite irate about it. I have even seen where the owner of a posted photo swaps the photo out with a less than G-rated photo. Suddenly instead of a photo of a train, your thread is suddenly showing a photo of Miss September.
The OGR Forums Terms of Service has this to say about linking to photos hosted elsewhere: "If you are posting a graphic (e.g., photograph, illustration, etc.), please be sure that it is hosted on a site whose bandwidth you control. That is, do not post photos that are hosted on bandwidth that someone else is paying for - that's called theft of service and we do not permit it on the Forum."
Finding the URL
You will need to find the URL (address) for the image you want to post. Navigate to the web page and right click on the image. Then select "Copy Image Location".

If you are viewing the photo directly (Not as part of the web page) you can also copy the address from the address bar

At this point you can head over to the forum and post. Or if you want to add several images to a posting you may want to paste these addresses into a text file so you do not have to jump back and forth between forums

Once you find (or start) a thread were you want to add an photo click on the "Reply" button and look at the toolbar in the window that opened. The second button from the right (Green button) is the image button , click on it.

The image URL window will appear below the button.

Paste the URL for your photo into the window and click OK.

You should get some text that looks like this in the reply window. You can also add text to the reply, but do not add anything other text between the [IMG] [/IMG] tags.

You can add multiple photos to a posting by repeating the above steps. Just make sure to move the cursor below the text before you begin. I like to do two returns after the [/IMG] tag.
When you are done click on the "Post Now" button

If you did everything correctly you will see your image. If not check the above steps again. You may want to go back to get the URL for your images and try pasting it in again
Congratulations you are done!
