Photobucket

Photobucket is a very popular photo hosting service. Many OGR forum members use it. It has both free and pay accounts. They offer 1 GB free storage (10 GB with paid PRO account), with 25 GB free monthly bandwidth. Uploaded photos must be smaller than 1 MB (5 MB with paid account), uploaded videos must be five minutes or shorter (10 min with paid account). It also can easily generate code for eBay. Photo prints can also be ordered from Photobucket.

Like other services Photobucket can be used to resize photos and it also has some online photo editing tools which can be useful.

Using Photobucket

Photobucket has some excellent tutorials on how to use their service. These three tutorials should get you to the point of being ready to post on the OGR Forum

Posting your photos

Photobucket is convenient to post with since it will generate the IMG tags and you can skip a few steps that you have to do when posting your photos from other services.

Once you have found your properly sized photo on Photobucket, generate the code. Hint you can select more than one photo at a time.

Copy the IMG tag.

At this point you can head over to the forum and post. Or if you want to add several images to a posting you may want to paste these addresses into a text file so you do not have to jump back and forth between forums

pbucket 3

Find (or start) a thread were you want to add an photo click on the "Reply" button.

pbucket 6

In the body of the reply message, paste the IMG code you have copied from Photobucket. When complete click on the "Post Now" button

pbucket 7

If you did everything correctly you will see your image. If not check the above steps again. You may want to go back to get the IMG code for your photos and try pasting it in again.
